Kourtney Nelson

Kourtney has over 25 years of experience in wholesale power markets and renewable energy procurement. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Global Renewable Energy Procurement at Microsoft, where she led the company’s global strategy and execution to achieve 100% renewable energy supply by 2025. During her tenure, she executed more than 5.5 GW of renewable energy transactions across 14 countries, negotiated a 10.6 GW framework agreement with Brookfield—one of the largest corporate clean energy deals to date—and oversaw the portfolio’s growth from 2 GW to over 34 GW. Prior to Microsoft, Kourtney held leadership roles at Avangrid Renewables and 3Degrees, advancing clean energy solutions across the United States.
